Role Description

Hunter Roberts has summer internship opportunities available within the Philadelphia Operations unit for individuals with a track record of academic success and a deep interest in the industry. Hunter Roberts has several Project Intern opportunities available as well as an opportunity in the Estimating Department and Purchasing Department.

The internship will begin on June 5, 2023, and last through August 11, 2023. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8am until 5pm. The main responsibility of the Intern is to support and assist the Project Management/Department staff on both Administrative and Technical responsibilities as required.

Listed below are administrative, technical and field job functions you may be asked to complete as an intern at Hunter Roberts.

Administrative:

Document Processing: Use CMIC to accurately and consistently enter project document information into the data base.
Distribution and Mailing of Project Information: Project information in the form of drawings, specifications, samples & submissions must be distributed to the Project Design Professionals (Architect & Engineers) for review and approval.

Technical:

Quantity Take Offs: As the design documents develop and change, typically in the form of bulletins and sketches, it is necessary for the Project Management Staff to identify the magnitude of these changes both quantitatively and financially.
Evaluation of Bulletins: Identify, document and describe, in detail, the changes to the work represented by each bulletin.

Field:
Field Work: Visit the project site for the purpose of informational surveys, status updates etc. as may be necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate College or University with a sophomore status or junior status
  • Must be a construction management, engineering or related major
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to work as a team member and to manage competing priorities in fast paced environment

****Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
