This position is for a Supply Chain Procurement / Buyer role to join a growing aerospace team with Client As an important part of the Supply Chain team here at Client, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by helping to identify supplier partners and ensuing timely delivery of critical aerospace components. This role will work with the Client team, as well as our major aerospace customer, to coordinate with suppliers to place Purchas Orders (POs) with qualified suppliers, purchase parts, and track shipments. This is considered a hybrid working position, meaning this role will enable working remotely from home several days per week, as well as working from our customer’s Dayton, OH facility the remaining days.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Work with the customer to identify qualified suppliers for key aerospace electrical components

• Review supplier quotations and evaluate for cost, turnaround time, and quality

• Follow standard work to place POs with suppliers

• Order parts from suppliers on behalf of the customer, addressing the priority needs for the customer

• Generate and maintain a tracker to track commitment dates, supplier progress, action items, and shipments

• Report out progress and status to the customer on a regular basis

• Assist in generating status reports and sitting in on status meetings to update key Client and customer stakeholders

• Understand supplier delivery risks and be empowered to generate mitigation plans

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to current supply chain customer processes, tools, trainings, etc.

• Adhere to import, export, and procurement regulations.

• Travel to the nearby customer site regularly

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ year(s) of relevant experience

• Strong electronics background in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications :

• An understanding of DPAS & DFARS requirements

• Exposure to supplier development and delivery assurance

• An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices

• Knowledge of supply chain management

• Experience with project and/or program management

• Experience with engineering and quality processes

• Exposure to various manufacturing processes

• An ability to build positive intercompany relationships

• Outstanding communication and reporting skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $90,000.00 per year
