Client in Houston is seeking an Audiologist! Will be working onsite

Provides professional skills in performing and interpreting hearing tests

Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)

Patient Care Performs and interprets hearing tests, including basic audiometry, diagnostic audiometry, and pediatric audiometry. Coordinates rehabilitation plans for the hearing impaired (to include hearing aid referral). Maintains current knowledge of diagnostic and rehabilitative techniques and participates in audiological research activities. Medical personnel, allied health professionals, patients, and family members provide consultations regarding patient test results and subsequent rehabilitation recommendations.

Maintain Records and Equipment Maintenance Initiates appropriate referrals and makes rehabilitative recommendations to medical, educational, and allied health professionals as well as social agencies. Formulates timely reports and maintains records of evaluation and patient care. Ensures that all equipment supplies, materials, and other apparatus necessary for the performance of tests are properly working and professionally calibrated on a routine basis

Supervise, preceptor, mentor, and Facilitate Program Development Supervises clinical externs and 4th-year clinical externs. Facilitate program development and expansion via attendance of professional meetings, presentations, and correspondence

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Audiology.

Preferred Education: N/A

Certification/s:

Certification or eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Licensure is eligible for an Audiology license issued by the Texas State Committee of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Experience: 1 year as a practicing Audiologist.

Onsite Presence: Is Required

The required work shift is 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday, with no weekends and no holidays.
