Theo Chocolate is proud to be the first organic, fair trade, bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the United States. It takes a large array of duties and committed people to make great chocolate. Our factory, kitchen, marketing, and administrative offices are all located in a historical building in the Fremont district of Seattle, WA.
Currently, we have one opening for a Confections Packer. This day shift opening is a full-time position. The position comes with the following set of benefits: paid time off, paid volunteer time, transit pass discount and other commuting incentives, and plenty of discounted great chocolate!

Summary: Prepare confections and custom/specialty products for fulfillment inventory and retail orders while maintaining quality standards and ensuring accurate recording of lot codes on all products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Catch confections; identify and remove mark-outs
- Cup confections using paper cups; identify and remove mark-outs
- Box confections; record inventory count and lot code
- Prepare retail, loose piece, and custom box orders
- Package specialty items; identify and remove mark-outs; record inventory count and lot code
- Prepare aspects of packaging (cutting labels, stickers, pre-folding legends, etc.)
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Less than high school education. Experience that demonstrates high attention to detail performing repetitive tasks for long periods, especially as it relates to hand-eye coordination. Previous production experience with specific packaging procedures (cupping, foiling, ribbon tying) is helpful.
Mental/Visual Ability
This position requires constant mental and visual focus while catching, cupping, and performing duties with boxing and packaging confections. Also frequently while filling orders and recording inventory.
Other Ability:
Exceptional hand-eye coordination. Ability to memorize a large variety of standards and packing procedures. Ability to maintain focus and efficiency while performing repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
Ability to use computer keyboard for data entry.
