Data Analyst Job at Natron Energy
The data team at Natron Energy is responsible for the collection, management, analysis, and distribution of all the battery manufacturing and test data. The data team drives one of the core principles of Natron Energy, rational decision making, by providing data for every critical decision. As a data analyst on the data team, you will:
Be part of a small team with ownership of data analysis tools used by the entire company- Work closely with many positions and teams across Natron Energy such as Data Engineers, Test Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability, R&D etc.
- Develop data analysis codebases and perform data mining and statistical analytics to derive trends and identify KPIs from production and developmental data sets
- Contribute to the mission of building a company and a product to be proud of
Qualified candidates have prior industrial or academic experience writing analytical code as well as using existing code bases to perform analytics. A preferred candidate would also have a fundamental understanding of electrochemistry and battery performance.
Responsibilities:
- Apply principles of electrochemical theory and statistical analysis to develop new and utilize existing analysis tools to study key performance metrics and support root cause analysis
- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
- Evaluate production and R&D data sets to identify parameters and analysis methods that can be built into automated pipelines through collaboration with other team members.
- Work closely with engineers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
- Review automated data reports and analysis logs to fix errors and make improvements.
- Develop and maintain existing analysis codebases.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics.
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
- Prior industrial or academic experience developing data analysis and visualization tools.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Python using packages like numpy, pandas, matplotlib, plotly.
- Training in statistics relevant to product development and/or manufacturing.
- Has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, thrives in a fast-paced start up environment and can deliver project deliverables on time.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrochemistry and battery performance testing.
- Strong programming experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience using JMP for statistical analysis.
Compensation/Pay Transparency:
- Base Salary is determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
- In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Life Insurance, and Flexible Time Off and Personal Time Off for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively.
- The salary range for this position is a minimum of $70,000 and a maximum of $135,000.
