JOB SUMMARY/ DESCRIPTION
The Osceola Clerk of Circuit Court & County Comptroller is looking to hire a highly motivated individual willing to grow and develop within a fast-paced environment driven by a culture of service. We are looking for individuals with the ability to secure and monitor all evidence and other sensitive documents/items held for the Criminal Division, fulfill research requests and process expunge and seal documents.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secures, monitors, and retains custody of all evidence.
- Responsible for releasing evidence as ordered by the court.
- Prepares evidence for destruction in accordance with statutes.
- Responsible for periodic inventory of evidence.
- Conduct and fulfill research requests.
- Process expunge/seal matters from inception to disposition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITES
- Type 25 wpm
- Computer skills and knowledge of software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (preferred)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
