As a Facilitator, you will support the Associate Resources (AR) Training team and overall company training initiative. What does this mean? The primary focus of this role will be on leadership development facilitation as this role will lead in person and virtual training experiences that will empower our leaders to take ownership in how they show up in the moments that matter most to our over 2000 Metronet Associates. Initially, this training will be delivered to our over 400+ leaders and will be ongoing as we add new leaders as we rapidly grow. A variety of methods will be utilized in delivering training, including but not limited to: instructor lead in person training, instructor lead virtual training, asynchronous challenges and activities to apply the learning, and participant engagement via cohort group communication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitate the instructor-led training for Moments that Matter leadership development training, bringing the facilitation in house after train-the-trainer sessions with current vendor. These sessions include in person (in Evansville) and virtual (Microsoft Teams) instructor led components. Once this program reaches a maintenance level of only new managers, additional leadership development topics may be taken on by this role.
- Engage and support the application of the program in prework, challenges in between sessions, communications with the cohort groups to facilitate their connection, and application of the program components post-program.
- Apply adult learning theory in responding to Associates questions during before, during, and after training providing coaching to achieve desired results.
- In all learning environments, provide clear communication that focuses on the Associate buy-in and illustrates the learning in multiple ways to engage each learner. Creates an environment of transparency and safety to speak and build relationships.
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to continually improve efficiency of processes and services performed.
- Communicate, facilitate, and champion AR programs and company-wide initiatives to provide training and material support. Serve on cross-functional project teams and support any area of AR in the training role.
- Serve as back up to all training functions as needed, including being a virtual producer if the Training Coordinator or Training & Development Manager are not available.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years’ experience in leadership development facilitation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology or related field
- Preferred certifications in Facilitation through Association of Talent Development, DDI, or related certification
- Demonstrated experience in virtual learning platforms
- Experience facilitating to Associates in industries similar to construction, manufacturing, transportation, and technology is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an effective and active listener and have effective interpersonal, persuasive, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communication clearly and to illustrate a point with multiple examples, as well as to ask questions to dive deeper into the question being asked and come to a clear resolution with learner buy-in
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to successfully complete multiple tasks in required time frames
- Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail. Timely and accurate execution of requests and responsibilities.
- Excellent time management and organization skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, re-prioritize based on business demands coupled with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and use good judgment regarding confidentiality.
- Is self-directed and motivated. Take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation.
- Able to work a flexible schedule depending on the needs of the business.
- Ability to travel in order to support training and AR as needed.
- Comfortable working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture.
