The Graphic Designer is responsible for obtaining up-to-date knowledge to interpret our needs and design solutions with high visual impact. This individual will collaborate with Transwestern’s creative team to design and develop various marketing materials. The Graphic Designer will work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software to think creatively and create new design concepts, graphics and layouts. Possessing creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality is required, along with demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
It is also the responsibility of the Graphic Designer not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with clients but also to focus on productivity and results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce various graphic and illustrative materials. These materials include flyers, brochures, offering memorandums, RFPs, e-blasts, HTML emails, mailers, ads, mockups, environmental graphics, presentation boards, maps, stacking plans, aerials, websites, etc.

Create and redesign existing drawings, brochures, floor plans, site maps, etc.

Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and formatting, making appropriate changes. The designer is responsible for the accuracy and clarity of the final copy.

Manage various assignments simultaneously, including but not limited to the design and layout of brochures, digital and bound presentations, special events information, and special projects.

Ability to monitor, manage and execute various tasks and efforts at different stages of discovery and execution; handles large request queue; and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Track workflow to ensure completion of jobs in required time frames to client specifications.

Maintain relationship with all print and digital vendors.

Remain current in the Graphic Design industry; identifying new traits, techniques, and shortcuts.

Create marketing materials that adhere to comprehensive and detailed company brand standards.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, Computer Science or a related discipline.

At least 2-5 years’ professional design and graphics experience using Adobe design products (Mac based.)

Strong production skills and knowledge of print processes required - experience using both traditional and web-based digital process.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.

Video editing experience a plus (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

HTML experience a plus.

Experience using website platforms such as Wordpress, Webflow, Wix, etc. a plus.

MS Office 365.

Must have the ability to convey concepts and give design direction through layouts.

Ability to change course/direction on projects at a moment’s notice; ability to reprioritize tasks and timelines.

Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines; ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities; multi-tasking.

Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images.

Extremely high attention to detail.

Superior communication and organizational skills are a must.

Enthusiastic about becoming an expert on communicating the company’s vision through visual communication.

Must have strong collaboration skills and a proactive, positive attitude with an ability to work within a team environment.
