Da Hawaii Way is a new courtesy shuttle to service visitors on Kauai. Our mission is to provide visitors with reliable, safe, and fun transportation from the airport to their destinations around the island. Da Shuttle welcomes guest to the island right away with our Hawaiian ambience. Our goal is to provide our guest with a one-of-a-kind experience while riding on Da Shuttle with our charismatic drivers. As one of our drivers, you will be the first person to interact with visitors on the island. As Da Shuttle driver, you will be our brand ambassador and be responsible for providing a friendly and safe ride for our guests.

Having knowledge of the island will help provide customers with a great experience.

The key responsibilities and accountabilities are:

• Provide timely shuttle service to customers to/from airport terminal to their point of destination, in compliance with Da Hawaii Way policies and procedures and local laws.
• Personally, welcome customers boarding the bus, assist with luggage and answer questions in a friendly manner.
• Effectively communicate stops and safety information through Talking Bus System; if needed, communicate with other Courtesy Service Drivers, Bus operations Supervisor using standard codes.
• Provide world class customer service by determining customer’s reservation status and communicate to lounge manager / provide excellent customer service to all customers using the required customer service dialogue while always maintaining the right company image.
• Conduct bus inspection to ensure customer and employee safety and bring any defect / damage to the attention of the supervisor.
• Maintain appearance appropriate for providing best in class customer service in accordance with established guidelines
• Ensure the bus is always kept tidy
• Contribute to continuous improvement by communicating customer feedback to team and engaging in action planning to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
• Check email and software program for daily itinerary

Our ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about providing superior guest service; enjoys physical work and has previous similar work experience.
• A high school diploma or GED would be a plus.
• Previous customer or guest service experience, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
• Is flexible and willing to meet with other drivers to hand off bus
• Has mechanical experience to help with any low maintenance repairs the bus may need
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Has computer skills and ability to work with online software

• Have the Aloha Spirit and a desire to share knowledge of our island
• Friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
• Possesses good customer service skills while servicing visitors.
• Ability to use good judgment and decision making while handling multiple situations.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Ability to work with a tablet and software program
• Possesses a sense of humor.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
