Summary: Manage electrical parts at commercial accounts and construction job sites. Place orders remotely, deliver and put away orders/parts on commercial accounts. Develop relationships and be in direct contact with customers contact. Pursue new business in partnership with the Account Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) at all levels of an organization required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Clean driving record and valid WI driver’s license required.
- 1+ year(s) of relative experience in route sales, B2B delivery, customer service, material handling, or other related experience preferred
- Ability to work from our branch located in Pewaukee and service the greater Milwaukee area.
- Must be able to commit to 1-2 years in this role before moving into other parts of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage specific Inventory Management account territory/responsible for all Inventory Management related business and operational issues.
- Responsible for all Inventory Management commercial issues and Inventory Management deliverables at accounts.
- Responsible for maintaining and monitoring inventory usage at participating accounts, including creating inventory orders while on site.
- Required to monitor inventory usage in order to make suggestions for changing reorder points.
- Verify the order writing and pulling process with Inside Sales and the Warehouse.
- Maintain constant communication with Account Managers (status of the account, projects, problems).
- Communicate through various channels (in person, written, email, telephone) with the customer and internal departments (Sales, Inside Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, etc.) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Place orders, deliver and stock orders per customer’s needs.
- Monitor all items on backorder and take appropriate actions to ensure that customer receives part(s) needed as quickly as possible. Communicate with customer to determine importance of backordered items and to ensure that customer is aware of product status.
- Help in the initial organization project with the physical movement of inventory, job box setup, data collection, part number cross reference research, and the labeling of bins and shelves.
- Determine the most efficient delivery route with the help of the Inventory Services Manager.
- Watch closely for new business opportunities.
- Items supplied by someone else such as wires, conduit, etc.
- The conversion of items (i.e. Square D to Allen Bradley, Leviton to Hubbell, etc.).
- Participate in sales calls when needed.
- Maintain the Master Refill Document spreadsheet.
- Interface with other Representatives to cover vacation and sick time, which will require travel to other branch accounts and possible overnight stays.
- Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions on all “PNM, Delete Status and Purge” Items within Eclipse.
- Other related duties as assigned.
