Summary: Responsible for the accurate and timely estimation of new business maintenance sites ?
Duties include:
- Gather, calculate and compile take off data for use in bid estimates
- Visit sites to obtain any additional measurements or information to assist in completing bid document
- Add and update project information in ERP software
- Work interactively with Operations and Business Development to ensure all factors pertaining to sites have been accounted for
- Create site maps detailing boundaries and task information
- Effectively communicate analyzed data and information to Operations and Business Development
- Constantly promote and encourage adherence to company policies and best practices
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or at least 2 years related work experience
Field Experience
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable field experience with project estimating or design-build work preferred
- Knowledge of Pacific Northwest plant life preferred
- Familiar with commercial landscape tasks and equipment preferred
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to speak effectively before employees and clients
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule format
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills, with internal and external clients
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under deadlines
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Intermediate to advanced experience using design software, including but not limited to: Photoshop, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
