REPORTS TO: Practice Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensed Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of outpatient patients at Caya Health for Moore Medical Group. This includes seeing scheduled children and adult patients through both in person and telehealth for the purposes of a variety of behavioral health issues requiring diagnosis, treatment planning and a multiple therapies to assist patient needs in an individualized manner. This also includes assisting in the preparation and accurate submission of documentation and billing to payer sources in both a compliant and timely manner. The Licensed Therapist is also responsible for seeing patients as scheduled and maintaining appropriate productivity. The Licensed Therapist is also responsible to maintain his/her Florida license under FS 491 and all requirements of the licensing board to include CEU’s. The Licensed Therapist is also responsible for adhering to the standards of Moore Medical Group, Inc., Federal/ State and JCAHO Regulations.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES:

• Provide all documentation to MMG HR for credentialing as required to include but not limited to, Florida MH Counselors/SW MF License, Record of CEU’s, Driver’s License, Diploma(s), transcripts, drug test, background check.
• Ensure timely completion of all accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality initiatives as needed
• Participate in practice meetings as required
• Provide ethical, trauma informed care to all MMG/Caya Health patients, consult with the Director of Behavioral Health for clinical supervision.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those within the compliance process, Standards of Conduct, HIPAA, State Licensure and The Joint Commission and scope of practice include ethical standards of an independent provider of therapy.
• Participates in required orientation, ethics and HIPAA training programs.
• Reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance following Standards of Conduct.
• Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
• Participates, as requested, in process improvement responsibilities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related degree.
• Florida License in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Clinical Social Work or Psychology (Under FS 491) Proof of License required.
• 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
• Telecommute and Telework experience.
• Experience with medical software.
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of health care payers such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial policies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
• Able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Must be flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
