Brookside Rehabilitation and Wellness, a privately owned, 5-star skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Castle Rock, is seeking compassionate and conscientious full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team of qualified individuals. We are looking for a professional who is committed to the highest standards of integrity, quality care, and respect for our residents.

Rate of Pay

$19.00-$22.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment including, but not limited to: debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, cleaning, and floor-sweeping and material storage.
  • Understand and follow proper safety procedures for company and community, including maintaining cleanliness and protection of work spaces
  • Uphold all company policies, goals, and values
  • Assist with landscaping and snow removal
  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Participate in an ongoing community maintenance and improvement plan
  • Follow-up on service requests to assure the highest quality customer satisfaction
  • Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, etc.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems.
  • Report issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress to supervisor.
  • Basic preventative maintenance checks and tasks such as water temperatures, cleaning out the dryer vents, etc.
  • Regularly perform housekeeping duties such as deep cleans, daily room cleaning, etc.
  • Assist with laundry duties such as washing linens, resident clothing, etc.

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Previous long-term care experience preferred
  • Sincere desire to serve the elderly
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, staff, and the general public
