Purpose

~ This is a leadership position within the Office of Customer Management (OCM). In this capacity, the position will support the Senior Manager – OCM Systems and Senior Manager – Customer Communications Strategy in the execution of OCM’s core functions.

~ Work with IT team to support the mastering and integration of customer data operations.

~ Ensure alignment between business, Customer Data Management (CDM) objectives and IT systems.

~ Maintain effective business use, integrity, and governance of customer data.

~ Promote and support the usage and integration of customer data within the enterprise.

~ Assist in the creation and development of large-scale projects that improve data quality, reduce costs/ complexity, and improve revenue/profits.

~ Manage projects (independently or collaboratively) from ideation to kickoff.

~ Generate and execute ideas to drive innovation.

Major Responsibilities

~ Assist in maintaining data quality and governance in both upstream and downstream systems/vendors.

~ Support maintenance of customer data mastering rules.

~ Provide guidance/collaborate with resources to execute data analysis and queries.

~ Provide guidance to resources and collaborate to identify, analyze, and diagnose data-related issues.

~ Create, evaluate, and implement solutions using customer data.

~ Manage customer communication touchpoint inventory and journey.

~ Support management of customer opt-outs and communication preferences.

~ Collaborate with business stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

~ Work with vendors and IT personnel on technical issues and improvement opportunities.

~ Support of any ad hoc requests as needed.

~ Meet independently with internal and external stakeholders to research, analyze data and present findings.

~ Provide solutions to problems and business recommendations based on analysis.

~ Oversee and manage IT team and vendor(s) to meet project goals and timeline.

Education

Related Experience

~ 5 years of automotive experience preferred

~ 5 years of experience working with data tables and developing data queries

~ 5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams

~ 5 years of experience working in highly fast paced environment

~ 3 years of experience driving technology innovation projects and change

~ Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

~ Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, Impala and Spark etc.).

~ Experience working in a UNIX/LINUX environment.

Skills/Knowledge

~Working knowledge of automotive business & operations

~Ability to think critically and independently in problem solving

~Able to successfully collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to produce desired business results

~ Ability to lead workshops with stakeholders

~ Ability to work effectively in a fast pace environment

~ Working knowledge of consumer privacy regulations

~ Data analysis

~ Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word

~ Ability to write high quality, maintainable, and robust code in SQL, Python

Preferred Skill:

~ Experience with shell scripting.

~ Proficient in the use of Python and libraries used for parallel computing (e.g. Dask).

~ Experience using visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau etc.).

~ Understanding big data analysis techniques: MapReduce, Hadoop ecosystem, Spark etc.
