MDS Coordinator - Long Term Care Job at Palo Alto County Health System
Job Summary
Coordinates nursing care for residents, participates in resident and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other resident team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the long term care setting.
Education & Work Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited program of Registered Nursing and hold a current RN license in the state of Iowa.
- MDS Certification preferred. Required to complete within 1 year of hire.
- Experience with Comprehensive Assessments, MDS, RUGS and Care Planning are desired.
- CPR Certification. Must pass medication test within two weeks of hire date.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Maintains certification for assigned work area.
