PAKO is a manufacturer of tubes, tube assemblies, manifolds, inserts, oil nozzles and spraybars for gas turbine engine manufacturers and component suppliers in the United States and throughout the world. Position Summary. The process engineering (mechanical) role will interact with multiple engineering disciplines and cross-functional team members during the entire lifecycle of machining and assembly of highly complex and sophisticated applications. The mechanical engineering position will utilize problem solving techniques, engineering principles, and process design. You will be involved in AutoCAD, Inventor, 3D Modeling, Process Design and Implementation, and Quality Control Reports. You will also have the daily opportunity to work on hands-on prototyping through the process at any workstation with direct involvement with any and all employees.

Duties

• Develop process to manufacture details and/or assemblies.
• Perform routine engineering investigations involving calculations and/or tests in support of current products, new designs, methods, materials, or process studies.
• Assist with the design, development, testing and reports on engineering projects.
• Perform analyses, resolve issues using problem solving techniques to develop new and innovative solutions for our Customers.
• Prepare design sketches and assists with developing design layouts and drawings for a variety of components, sub-assemblies, processes, or equipment in support of projects.
• Interact with vendors, suppliers, and consultants, on a limited basis, to assure compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Work as a collaborative team member in engineering projects.
• Component/sub assembly level oversight.

Education Degree

• 5 years experience in manufacturing process and/or inspection, or
• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

• 5 years experience in manufacturing process and/or inspection, or Bachelors degree, Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial)
• Working knowledge in a variety of materials, technologies and manufacturing methods is desirable.
• Working knowledge in the following areas: machining, fabricating assembly processes (welding, brazing), non-destructive testing (FPI, XRAY), inspection techniques, etc.
• 3D CAD Modeling (PRO/E, INVENTOR OR AUTOCAD, preferred).
