JOB SUMMARY: SBHG is looking for qualified Master's candidates, Associate MFT’s, Associate Clinical Social Workers, LMFT, Psychologist, APCC, ASW, MFT interns, and LCSW. This position has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to adolescents and their families. Provides therapeutic services including but not limited to individual and family therapy, collaterals, crises intervention skill-building, and treatment planning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Master's degree in a Mental Health, Human Services, or closely related field.
- Anticipated Master's degree
Experience
- Two (2) years experience in the mental health field, and direct service experience with severely emotionally disturbed families/children; experience with high-risk families/children. Experience should be with children or adolescents with dual diagnoses in residential or outpatient settings.
License or Certification
- Registered with CA BBS as an AMFT or ACSW.
- Licensed in California as an LMFT, LCSW, or PHD.
- Valid California Driver's License.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assesses and evaluates children, adolescents, and significant others for appropriateness, need, and level of services, through the completion of LACDMH assessments and opening paperwork.
- Monitors client’s and family progress towards mental health, treatment, and Family goals through the completion of various outcome measures.
- Works with referred infants, children, adolescents, their families, and representatives of referring agencies, and other relevant parties (in-house and external) to promote rehabilitation and amelioration of problems that interfere with productive social and emotional daily living.
- Services include a “Whatever It Takes” approach and include but are not limited to: individual and family therapy, counseling, shadowing, training, modeling, and other interventions deemed necessary.
- Ability to perform and provide accurate mental health and dual diagnosis evaluations, effective individual mental health rehabilitation and case management; makes appropriate referrals and linkages for dual diagnosis consults, treatment and testing as needed.
- Acts as liaison with various external agencies (such as Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Mental Health, Probation Department, Dependency Court, and law enforcement) to facilitate clients’ adjustment in daily living routines.
- Ability to coordinate client discharges in a clinically and administratively appropriate manner, in accordance with agency protocols.
- Provides on-call telephonic and on-site emergency response to children and families to provide support and assistance in problem resolution.
- Ability to appropriately conduct and participate in client treatment planning meetings.
- Ability to assist Teammates in meeting all LA County contract requirements related to enrollment, service provision, and disenrollment within all stipulated timeframes and guidelines.

Pay: Up to $65,520.00 per year
