Primary Responsibilities
- Mental Health Therapists provide outpatient clinical services provided to children and adolescents ages 3-21 years. These clinical services will be provided in a school and/or pediatrician satellite office and community locations. Outpatient services include individual/family counseling, treatment planning, assessments, and possible crisis intervention virtually or in-person for children, adolescents and their family to help prevent the progression of behavioral health needs.
- Counselors will assist children and adults, in collaboration with their system of care, toward recovery and reduction of negative symptoms caused by mental health needs through effective assessment, intervention and ongoing evaluation of effectiveness.
- Provide crisis management by stabilizing the child/youth in the home, school or community after the crisis has occurred and/or assist with goal setting. Provide client's and their families with goal directed services and solution-focused interventions intended to address challenges associated with a behavioral health need and to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the client's treatment plan.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- License eligible (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LCAT, LMFT)
- Experience as a School Counselor/School Social Worker helpful
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays and travel to School-based Satellite locations
- Must have excellent communication skills and customer service and sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented, ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player. Must have a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles
