Forge Forward is searching for a Mid to Senior Level Budget/Financial Analyst to support a client at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC.

This position requires 8-10 years of prior experience working for a DoD client and an active Secret clearance. (Due to the type of work this position will perform, those without a clearance cannot be considered.) Experience with Navy PBIS-Program Budget Information, ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning and POM-Program Objective Memorandums is essential.

Performs a wide range of technical, administrative, and analytical duties connected with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of Navy appropriations and budgets. Assist in the preparation of program budget submissions and assist in preparation and execution of program funding documents. Engage in integration of business processes, interfacing, and reconciliation of data between financial systems used by DoD and Navy financial systems to optimally manage, execute, and account for all appropriations. Assist in preparation of budget briefs for review and submission. Position will be on-site at the Washington Navy Yard (with some remote work a possibility).

Functional Skills and Requirements:

• Familiarity with financial analysis, accounting and Navy PPBE processes.
• Experience with financial budgeting to include preparing budget submission justifications, briefing materials, and budget documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• US citizen with minimum Secret security clearance.
