• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Inspects materials, products and containers, for quality (good vs. bad) at each step of the packaging process.

• Able to pack on thermoforming lines and their product types without assistance.

• Ability to operate auto baggers, making minor adjustments as needed to ensure the product is sealed and identifying all other problems as they occur to the supervisor.

• Ability to operate the box sealer, ensuring proper sealing of all products.
• Ability to function as the “floor person” maintaining housekeeping and relieving packers at breaks, when assigned.

• Ability to operate grinder and change grinder pipes.

• Able to segregate color and match correct grinder pipe to the proper silo when grinding.

• Maintaining good housekeeping in your work area at all times.

• Able to work overtime as work load demands.

• Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations.

• Able to follow Supervisor's instructions/directions as given.

• Must be able to demonstrate effective lockout/tag out procedures on all equipment.

• Must be able to learn Thermoforming and Extrusion processes and procedures.

• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School or GED is preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to speak and understand English is preferred.

• Basic math skills required.

• Ability to use a calculator.

• Ability to perform proper stacking configuration.

• REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to use common sense.

• Ability to recognize, identify, and solves problems with the machines.

• Ability to maintain a level head and thought process during a crisis.

• Ability to differentiate between “good” quality and “bad” quality.

• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Ability to obtain industrial equipment certification within 10 days from hire date.
