Hawthorne Eye Associates is a growing general ophthalmology practice in Winston-Salem. With a fast-growing practice, we are in need of an ophthalmic assistant to work in the clinic.
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED (3+ years) ophthalmic assistant/technician. COA and prior experience using EHR technology a plus. Experience working as a technician in an ophthalmology office preferred.
Duties include:
- Patient history
- Refracting
- Applanation tonometry
- Special testing, such as OCT, fundus photos, biometry and visual fields
- Assisting in minor procedure office surgery
- Contact lens experience helpful
- Technician will also triage patient problems, work on medication prior authorizations and general clinic/office filing.
