Must have knowledge with charge posting, AR follow up, claims appeals, insurance follow-up, and understanding rejection appeals. Responsibilities:
- Follow-up with insurance companies to determine the status of medical claims.
- Address issues that may prevent the timely payment of claims such as billing errors and the denial of claims and, where appropriate, resubmit claims to insurance carriers.
- Complete telephone and written appeals of claims that have been paid incorrectly by insurance carriers.
- Knowledge and experience in medical billing, the healthcare industry and the effective management of accounts receivable.'
