Summary
Job Summary
Responsible for leading and supervising a designated Patient Financial Services team. Accountable for supervising billing and collection process, claims submissions, payment posting and system support for hospital and clinic Customer Service department. Is responsible for gathering and interpreting data related to patient accounts, departmental procedures, and billing and collection guidelines. Works with physicians, staff, patients, public, and external agencies. Takes initiative and exercise independent judgment to resolve emerging problems that our patient accounts face with accuracy and efficiency. Follow up timely to ensure patient resolutions. Have knowledge of all office functions in a fast pace environment, follow communication procedures.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelors in a related field
Experience
Required: 1-2 Years related experience
Preferred: Previous management experience
Skills
Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding and how it affects reimbursement from third party payers
Excellent written and verbal; communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Utilizes computer and appropriate software effectively
Determines level of knowledge and evaluates performance of personnel, demonstrates leadership, budget, policy, procedure and organizational structure knowledge
Excellent time management, interpersonal presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision making and planning skills.
