We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal EO/IR Systems Engineer - Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Lead to join our Advanced Electro-Optical (AEO) Engineering team, which is part of our Surveillance & Network Systems group. We are building a tactical airborne EO/IR system that provides critical support to our warfighters, in this role you will lead the Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) efforts on our environmental qualification build units.

As the Principal EO/IR Systems Engineer - Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V), you will have leadership responsibilities over multiple EO/IR Systems Engineers as you lead the integration process and verification & validation efforts to ensure that our system can provide the support our warfighters need in any environment required.

Work Location: El Segundo, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

• Planning Hardware and Software Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) activities leading up to test demonstrations and unit deliveries
• Leading the integration process for our environmental qualification build units
• Leading the verification and validation processes, including environmental qualification
• Supporting updates and compliance to internal and external specifications
• Supporting mode development, design, performance analysis, and modeling & simulation
• Reporting test results, anomalies, and analyses

Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a SAP level Clearance, US Citizenship required.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with EO/IR systems, including optical systems, EO/IR subassemblies, mechanisms, LOS control algorithms, and ethernet-linked subsystems
• Capability to lead EO/IR system operations, design and development, platform installation, test demonstrations, and requirements verification and validation
• Capability to design and execute system performance tests, including analyses on critical performance parameters, such as geolocation / line of sight (LOS), spatial resolution, wavefront error (WFE), and spectral response
• Experience in supporting software with algorithm updates, interface verification, and hardware integration
• Experience in presenting technical information to senior-level internal and external stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Lead or Technical EO/IR Systems Engineering Lead
• Experience working on programs utilizing Agile project management methodologies, as well as DOORS and/or other requirement configuration management tools
• Familiarity with the IEEE Standards (experience with 1588 is highly preferred)
• Knowledge of specialized test equipment design, testing, and operation
• Experience working with various software and languages, such as MATLAB, SysML, Python, Bash, C++, Java, VBA, and PowerShell

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience - OR
• Advanced Degree in in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related technical discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience
