The Opportunity
The greatest strength of Springboard’s model of education is the mentorship from our exclusive community of industry experts, which includes designers, software engineers, and data scientists at premier consulting firms, Fortune 500 companies and top-notch technology companies (e.g. AirBnb, Uber, Facebook, McKinsey, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon). As a Recruiting Coordinator for the Course Talent Operations team, you will own the operations behind mentor recruiting from top-of-funnel to closing candidates. You’ll ensure we are optimizing a high volume of hiring to support enrollment demand across the verticals (e.g. design, data science, software engineering, cybersecurity) and be responsible for improving KPIs and processes as we scale. Please note: This role is a contract position for 6 months with the option to extend or move to full-time pending the business needs

Responsibilities

    • Own mentor hires from offering and onboarding to their first day. You’ll make updates to their profiles, ensure new hire onboarding tasks are completed, and manage the creation of backend accounts
    • Assess candidates for technical and behavioral skills (technical skills will be related to data, design, software engineering, and cybersecurity) via our recruiting tools Crosschq and Sparkhire using our scorecards
    • You’ll diligently manage top of funnel candidates via our ATS (Greenhouse) by reviewing new applications, moving candidates forward, and tagging candidate profiles appropriately to ensure we can make perfect mentor-student matches post-close
    • Work with the broader Course Talent Operations and Recruiting team to create a best in class experience for mentors, develop new mentor sourcing / acquisition strategies, iterate upon the mentor onboarding experience, and support the launch of new course verticals
    • Work directly with our Head of Course Talent Recruiting to learn the ropes of mentor recruiting, and eventually own several recruiting roles

Qualifications

    • Have 1+ years of experience recruiting, coordination or operations, ideally in a startup/tech environment
    • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable engaging with experienced industry professionals
    • Are interested in building a career in recruiting
    • Are excited to learn about new verticals / fields and own mentor recruiting processes
    • Are able to organize competing priorities that occur daily efficiently, consistently and effectively
    • Thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and have an ambitious, creative entrepreneurial spirit
    • Have experience managing an ATS (Greenhouse preferred)
    • Are meticulous, cheerful under pressure, and comfortable juggling priorities
    • Love collaborating with talented people to develop effective solutions together, but also enjoy having the autonomy to work on tasks and projects on your own

Bonus points if you...

    • Have experience with Greenhouse (our ATS)
    • Have experience with other tech stacks (Django, Spark Hire, Crosschq, cNPS, CRMs or other)
    • Have worked as / have had a mentor, dedicated teacher, or teachers’ assistant

Compensation

    • This full-time role is a 6 month contract with option to extend pending business need
    • Monthly compensation range: $5,400-$5,700 per month
    • Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
