The Regional Events Manager is responsible for the recruiting, interviewing, training/development, execution and KPI tracking of the in-store class instructors in their region. Areas of focus include support of class instructors, helping scale the in-store class program, managing inventory needs, training and development, and class KPI tracking.

Potential Candidate:
Must be (ideally) Located in CA (or in Utah or Nevada)
Able to travel up to 75%

Major Activities

Recruiting:
Work with Store teams and recruitment to actively attract instructors to the Michaels class program
Coordinate coverage for stores without a Lead Instructor.

Training and Development:
Hold instructors accountable for training and development
Provide development opportunities for instructors
Partner with Manager – Education Programs – In-Store to build and update training
Provide coaching to instructors, as needed
Partner with Store Education Content Designer on instructor goals and growth plans.
Partner with lead instructor for the region to host training and ensure training is up to date

Execution:
Oversee the overall execution of the in-store class program for the stores in the assigned region
Monitor, track and report out on key KPIs and metrics for the in-store class program
Identify any issues and troubleshoot with partnership from store education content designer and store manager
Monitor and track supplies for the region to ensure adequate stock for the stores to complete the classes
Partner with Store Education Content Designer to identify issues and potential replacements or permanent changes
Communicate and reinforce all in-store marketing standards across stores
Work with stores to ensure marketing is driving classes and troubleshoot any problem areas
Identify any issues and troubleshoot with partnership from store education content designer and store manager

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills
Strong in all Microsoft Suite Applications: Work, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Minimum Type of experience the job requires
3-4 years of relevant experience
1#43; years management experience with a minimum of two direct reports
Experience managing a team remotely or on a hybrid work schedule
Travel required - Able to travel up to 75%

Total Base Pay Range for this Position: $66,150.00 - $116,550.00
