SCS Part-Time Health Assistant Job at Shelbyville Central Schools
POSITION: Part-time health assistant
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a safe and pleasant clinic environment
Maintains a clean and organized clinic environment
Maintains initial care for sick or injured student or staff member
Maintains daily log of clinic activities
Maintains confidentiality
Dispenses prescription and OTC medications as ordered
Creates and maintains current health records on all students
Enters immunization records and health information on computer
Assists with screenings (dental, vision, heights/weights, lice, hearing)
Maintains a current first aid and CPR/AED provider card
Promotes and maintains positive working relationships with all school personnel
Attend required training sessions
Provide care/assistance to students outlined in their Individualized Health Care Plan with the proper training
Willing to do the assist with student medical needs.
Handles clerical functions related to job responsibilities
Flexible and willing to work in other areas when needed
Communicate RTI meetings/special education conferences/health concerns with Health Services Director
Well organized and takes initiative
Responsible, strong work ethic, flexible
Good communication skills
Follows directives from the Health Services Director
Maintains satisfactory attendance
Enjoys working with children of all ages
Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies and Employee Handbook
Models Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: until filled Must have the following:
A. Maintain current CPR/AED provider card
B. Maintain current first aid certification
C. Willing to be trained in responsibilities listed
