Description:

Global Finance Services Division is looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy Senior Accountant Specialist ( internally known as Sr. Staff Accountant I SEC Consolidations/Reporting) to support all aspects of the SEC Reporting Function within Corporate Accounting. This includes coordinating the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K SEC filings. This person helps review the underlying supporting documentation for reasonableness and accuracy to validate the disclosure criteria and related disclosures, including collaborating/communicating with our business segments. Additional responsibilities may include benchmarking our SEC filings with other companies and driving process improvements related to how information is gathered for disclosures within our SEC filings. This position will work closely with various members of our accounting, finance, and legal teams as well as external auditors. This role will report into the SEC Reporting Senior Manager.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Support the compilation of the quarterly 10-Q and annual10-K SEC filings.
• Understand, review, and analyze data from multiple sources and groups to ensure disclosures are complete and accurate.
• Prepare footnote support schedules, tie-out binders (now electronic) and disclosure checklists.
• Assist other Corporate Accounting team members with preparation of footnotes within Workiva.
• Development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures
• Participation on special projects and support of process improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-year degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business-related degree
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Detail oriented, strong organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues at once
• Demonstrate ability to work autonomously, coordinate the efforts of others, work well with people at a wide range of levels

Top Candidates will also have:

• Professional Certification (Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent)
• Big 4 accounting experience
• Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills
• Experience with Workiva

Additional Details:

• Location: Irving, TX
• Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
• Less than 10% travel is expected
