WDP is excited to be expanding its office locations into West Virginia with the opening of an office within the vicinity of Charleston to serve existing clients. In support of this location, WDP is seeking to hire a Senior Engineer / Architect to oversee the daily operations and supervise future support staff.
As a Senior Engineer / Architect at WDP, you will use your experience and leadership skills to oversee architectural and engineering projects and mentor others within a company that provides you the freedom and resources to advance your career. The successful candidate is a degreed professional with at least 8 years of relevant work experience and has experience with a variety of different job tasks, projects, clients, and technical subjects. The ideal candidate will have experience to carry out the following duties:
- Oversee the evaluation, investigation, and design of unique repairs for existing buildings that have experienced either architectural failures, water leakage or other moisture induced damage.
- Oversee and mentor engineering staff in the evaluation and renovation of existing facades.
- Oversee and provide design and development of full contract documents for the renovation, restoration, and preservation of existing buildings.
- Conduct third party peer reviews of building enclosures for both constructability and performance.
- Interact directly with clients and independently manage projects.
- Develop and grow a regional and national client base.
- Secure interesting and challenging projects for staff under your direct supervision.
- Actively participate at the national level on industry codes, standards, and professional committees.
- Share expertise through publishing and presenting at local and national committees and organizations.

Requirements:- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture (Master’s and PhD applicants are preferred)
- Registered Architect or Licensed Engineer
- At least 8 years of related experience
- The desire to engage in hands-on field investigations
- Ability to work in the field and to travel depending on job assignment and workload
- Valid driver's license, driving history, and background verifications
