Department/Group Overview:
The Product Management Team is part of the DMED segment and oversees the full product lifecycle for all post-Theatrical and TV Domestic content made available for Transactional Ownership, Licensing or Rental including go-to-market strategies, business analytics and franchise planning.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the strategic long-term planning, development and execution of Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Lightstorm and ABC/Disney Channel/Free Form/Marvel TV releases. In addition, the position will play a pivotal role in the Platform Distribution D100 company-wide initiative.
The role requires extensive communication, follow-up and accountability to ensure all product management milestones are met and achieved. Key aspects include, but not limited to: business planning, physical/digital retail development, consumer segmentation, cross company planning, sales
pitch decks and post-release analytics. The Senior Manager will work directly with the Director on key projects and provide recommendations that set strategy for the respective franchises.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director with development of business planning strategies and long-
- term planning across Film and TV releases
- Help drive Company-wide initiatives with integrated planning across divisions
- including D100 Celebration, franchise programs, branded statements, digital
- destinations and new line looks at key retail accounts.
- Heavy emphasis on consumer insights/target audiences, reaching D&I segments, title positioning, and industry trends
- Product SKUs, Pricing, Formats and Bonus recommendations (physical and digital Strong involvement with operational planning, new processes and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing and product management working across leading franchises/properties
- Ability to drive new strategies and models within ever-changing, highly disruptive, content distribution landscape
- Strong analytical skills with data driven approach to fact-based decision making and creative problem-solving
- Highly collaborative team player with flexible approach to shifting priorities on multiple assignments
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced PowerPoint and Keynote skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entertainment industry experience
- 5 years of management level experience
Education:
- BA/BS degree
