Role Description:

The Senior Program Manager – Logistics Optimization is a role in the Program Management Office Positioned in the Global Operations. This role will be responsible for managing the Logistics Optimization Program within our Operational Excellence team. These projects include but are not limited to:

  • Logistics Optimization with the Distribution and Transportation team with specific focus to cost reduction projects and continuous improvement projects
  • Logistics Technology, Automation, Material Handling Strategy Development and Road Mapping to lay out long term planning
  • Filling the Operational Excellence Cost Reduction Funnel for Logistics Program
  • Logistics and Logistics Optimization Program reporting as required to support the PMO Operating Rhythm
  • Logistics Capital Equipment/Automation/Technology Projects that deliver cost reduction

The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and will have demonstrated the ability to lead programs from ideation to execution while fostering healthy working relationships and delivering of scope on time with full yield. Will also have a strong desire to be amongst a team of continuous improvement and program management experts who gain energy and become passionate about working together to look across an entire enterprise rather than work in silos.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn, utilize, and teach new best in class Program and Project management practices
  • Be a change agent and advocate of continuous improvement tactics to deliver results
  • Develop project schedules which clearly assign accountability and build a path to on time, on scope execution
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ideate on new projects and initiatives
  • Be a partner to cross functional teams and provide clear guidance on deliverables
  • Be open to different perspectives and factor in cross functional inputs when building project charters
  • Provide key inputs into reporting dashboards designed to highlight overall program health
  • Be fully immersed in day-to-day operations by understanding operational processes.
  • Facilitating funnel building activities and will guide the build of a multiyear portfolio of programs which will serve as our road map
  • Learn, teach, and utilize best in class program management practices to drive maximum collaboration and yield of each project.
  • Build schedules which will clearly outline scope, goals, milestones, timing, key stakeholders and will utilize those schedules to drive accountability for each project.
  • Partner with the operations teams and will serve as an enabler for those teams to execute on Operational Excellence initiatives efficiently and effectively.
  • Taking on additional assignments as required from other Programs to support overflow of PMO projects
  • Following Program Management practices outlined by the VP of PMO, includingcontinuous improvement, best practices, and standards in KII

Experience

  • 8+ years of operations experience with a focus on Logistics Program Management

Educational

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or ten plus years of relevant business experience
  • Program / Project certification preferred but not required
