The Vendr Revenue Operations team is looking to strengthen its ranks with a Senior RevOps Compensation Analyst, who will hold a dual mandate:

  • Be a collaborative thought partner to the Vendr Sales leader, the Finance team and the HR team, in the work to define the sales compensation/incentive philosophy and its practical, detailed, implementation framework
  • From there, implement this agreed-upon compensation/incentive framework using our Sales commissions tool, CaptivateIQ, and administer the commissions process month after month, driving its evolution and continuous improvement

The successful candidate will have a healthy balance of operational, technical and analytical experience to design and implement innovative compensation/incentive frameworks and processes that energize and motivate the Sales and BDR teams.

This position is a remote role that can be located anywhere in the US. Key partners and stakeholders are mostly on Eastern Time, in our Boston and Charleston offices.

What you'll do:

  • Assess our current go-to-market model and supporting organizational design (team structure and reporting lines, territories, targets, etc.) assess current commissions framework for all sales teams. Identify gaps and opportunities.
  • In partnership with the finance and HR teams, review the effectiveness of previous / current commissions plans, their impact on cost of revenue and on our ability to retain key sales talent
  • Propose the evolution of the compensation framework, with specific plans by team. Validate proposal with Finance and HR and Sales leaders, drive towards a plan that the key stakeholders can get behind
  • Implement the proposed plan in the commissions management tool, CaptivateIQ
  • Administer the compensation plan on a monthly basis
  • Design and administer episodic incentives programs to drive specific behaviors
  • Set up and operate a process to respond to commission-related queries from employees
  • In parallel, assess variable compensation plans for other organizations at Vendr beyond Sales (e.g. Customer Success, Professional Services, Marketing, etc.) that may have quantifiable targets and propose improvements to their compensation frameworks in order to better align compensation to results

What we need:

  • Proven ability to be trusted with confidential information
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience defining Compensation/commission frameworks at a SaaS company
  • Knowledge of key concepts like gates and accelerators, and of their pros and cons
  • Knowledge of various approaches to incentivizing new business acquisition vs. account expansion, and of their pros and cons
  • Hands-on experience administering a compensation plan using technology
    • Experience specifically with CaptivateIQ preferred
    • Transposable experience with other comp management tools is acceptable, too,
  • Strong data analysis skills; experience with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of project management tools (i.e. Monday.com, Asana, Confluence)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Experienced working in a fast pace environment
