Survey CAD Technician (Microstation)

Overview:

Experience as a Survey CAD Technician reducing conventional field data and preparing surveys for projects such as TDOT surveys, topographic, construction, boundary, and right-of-way surveys.

We are currently seeking a full-time CAD Technician within our Land Surveying Division. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team.

CAD Technician Responsibilities:

• Topographic, construction, boundary, and right-of-way surveys
• Perform calculations to determine traverse closures, traverse adjustments, field note reductions, boundary analysis and construction, deed sketches, area calculations, and alignments.
• Review and check work for quality control.
• Prepare metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects.
• Conduct deed research
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
• Identify possible problems, conflicts, and brings to supervisor’s attention.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma.
• 2+ years' experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High degree of proficiency using MicroStation, AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads is also preferred;
• Experience producing TDOT survey deliverables is a plus
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to self-motivate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
