PAQ, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Company consisting of 23 retail grocery stores throughout the central valley and central coast of California. Sixteen of our stores are price-impact, warehouse format under the Food 4 Less banner and six of our stores are Hispanic format with the Rancho San Miguel Market banner. We believe at PAQ, Inc. that our Employee Owners are our most valuable asset and we currently have an opening for an onsite System Adminstrator in the Stockton, California area.

Job Summary:

System Administrator will maintain, upgrade, and provide support for the company software, hardware, and networks. This position will report to the Manager of Information Systems. Job duties may include infrequent travel to remote location if needed.

Job duties include:

  • Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software and networking issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and servers
  • Implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Server platforms (Windows Server 2012-2019)
  • Administer of Windows Server Active Directory Services
  • Administer Microsoft Azure and Office 365 product
  • Knowledge in automated scripting using the PowerShell tools
  • Maintain network and system security (PCI [Payment Card Industry]
  • Administer virtualized server infrastructure with VMWare
  • Administer Windows Software Deployments and WSUS (Microsoft Software Update Service)
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for handling server and desktop problems outside of working hours as needed.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of the functional area and experience trouble-shooting complex IT problems and contributing to the development of processes and procedures.
  • 3-5 plus years of IT operations and support experience.
  • 3-5 plus years administering Windows Server platforms
  • Strong knowledge in virtualization such as VMware
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of network LAN, WAN, and VLAN devices such as router and switches
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls and wireless devices
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to explain system issues to non-technical personnel
  • Must be able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail and have strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Excellent in time management skills, flexible and dependable.
  • High level of integrity and strong communication skills.
  • Travel might require.
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

  • Must possess knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol families and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM).
  • Ticketing system.
  • Active Directory.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Asset Management.
  • SharePoint.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
  • Azure Active Directory (AD) and Identity Protection.
  • Network Troubleshooting.
  • Patch Management.
  • Mobile Device Management.
  • Communications systems to include Microsoft Teams.
  • Domain environments (2012 - 2019).
  • Network Technology, Firewall, VPN, VLAN, Campus-wide wireless systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $43.00 per hour
