WSAW is Wausau's first TV station, debuting in 1954. It is a CBS affiliated station that serves northcentral Wisconsin. WZAW is Wausau's FOX affiliate and the home of "Packer Football" Airing more Packer regular season games than all other stations combined. WYOW is our CW affiliate filled with their original programming.

Job Summary/Description:

WSAW is seeking a Technical Media Producer/Master Control Opperator. Your day-to-day would consist of monitoring proper and accurate broadcasting of all of our broadcast channels.

The opportunity will include:
1. Keep accrate transmitter and program logs.
2. Switch breaks and programming for the over the ait broadcast channels.
3. Check next day logs for missing material.
4. Dub commercials, promos and PSAs for air.
5. Check quality of program feeds prior to air.
6. Segment syndicated programming.
7. Record satellite program feeds
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Computer experience and willingness to learn are a must.
  • A successful applicant will be dependable, focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure with strict deadlines and have strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Needs to work and communicate well with others, but also be a self-starter.
