We are seeking a top-notch Tool and Die Maker to join our team. Spend your day in a clean, organized, extremely well-equipped, and climate-controlled fabrication shop. At Rio Grande, you’ll work with a highly creative and collaborative team of experienced professionals producing a wide range of components and tooling. We offer a friendly and fun participative work environment by encouraging and enabling associates to take ownership of their work and collaborate with their teammates to positively impact the business.
What You'll Do:
Rebuild, maintain and reverse-engineer broken or damaged parts on progressive, compound, piercing, blanking and forming dies
Troubleshoot tooling issues
Ensure die produces components that meet required specifications
What You'll Need:
- Must be able to rebuild, and document parts for complex progressive, compound, piercing, blanking and forming dies
- Must have experience in maintaining and reverse-engineering dies
- Proficient with computers specifically solid modeling and CAM software.
- Competent in all tool-room machining to close tolerances, on the following equipment:
(Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Wire EDM (A plus), CNC Mill (A Plus), Surface Grinding, Heat Treating, and Tool Post Grinding).
- Proficient in workshop theory and calculations need to produce die components
- Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration within a team; can clearly articulate technical information
- Successful completion of a tool and die apprenticeship program or equivalent years of experience in the tool and die industry
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Seeing mistakes as learning opportunities
- Receiving constructive feedback aimed at learning and improving

Pay: $32.84 - $44.00 per hour
