Description:
The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) seeks a qualified candidate to teach woodworking to students in grades 5th through 12th grade in alignment the DWS Scope and Sequence. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to collaboration, objectivity and consensus-building. Additionally, candidates should be open, welcoming and engaging to others as well as able to lead by active involvement in the life of the school.
Knowledge of Waldorf school philosophy is preferred.
Education and Skills:
- Experience teaching practical arts – woodshop preferred
- An understanding of Waldorf education preferred
- Comfortable with students in grades 5-12
- Exceptional communications skills, ability to interact with parents
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think systematically and strategically
- Ability to provide visionary leadership
Education Requirements/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
