King Communications LLC seeks an AutoCAD Design/Drafting Manager to add to our engineering team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package with an established company.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• A two-year degree in Computer Aided Drafting plus a minimum of 8 years of AutoCAD experience in civil, fiber optic, and/or telecommunication industries, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program
• Proven ability to effectively manage projects, production, and people
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with a fast-paced industry and ever-changing project variables
• EIT status preferred

Roles

• Manage and oversee design/drafting team members
• Manage production of design/drafting projects
• Q/C drafting team members’ products
• Civil design and drafting for construction drawings
• Manage drawing files, update and organize server
• Field walks to obtain information for civil design
• Interact with local government jurisdictions and utility companies for design requirements and permitting
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, construction, and team members
• Manage civil construction design for multiple projects in a timely manner
