A fantastic opportunity has just opened up for a Business Development Representive to cover the New York and the Norhteast! My client is a highly established 3PL Freight Brokerage. This is an opening for an experienced Salesperson to showcase their extensive knowledge in Brokerage and Logistics, and the chance to join one of the great company!
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with the internal and external sales teams.
- Manage and grow a book of business.
- Arrange face to face meetings with new and existing clients
- Update the company CRM with sales activity
- Target, identify, approach, and close new business both air and ocean freight solutions.
- Develop and maintain the clients' services to existing and potential clients ensuring a profitable return for the company in accordance with company procedures, operational procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Follow and maintain customer charter
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 year's experience in Freight Brokerage/customer service
- Knowledge of supplier service offerings and changes in market conditions
- An existing book of business/contacts would be highly beneficial
- A positive thinker, you are the kind of individual who constantly challenges yourself to exceed expectations and is not easily deterred from achieving goals
- Excellent interpersonal & administration skills
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $70,000 - $100,000
