Physical Therapist - School-based position available with competitive rates.

This is a fee-for-service position; however, rates are very competitive and you will accrue safe and sick time and be eligible for health benefits if you were to work 30 hours a week for 26 weeks.

The School-Based Rehab Program at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center provides physical and occupational therapy for children and adolescents 5-21 years of age with a variety of diagnoses. Our unique program offers services in a stimulating environment for a diverse population while collaborating with educational staff and professionals in the Yonkers Public Schools. Students may also be seen in their homes. It is conveniently located close to New York City and most major highways and transportation. There are over 50 highly skilled PTs, PTAs, OTs, and COTAs on our team.

Position description: Evaluation and intervention for children in the schools and/or in their homes; Documentation of sessions and progress; Preparation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); Maintenance of ongoing communication with parents, guardians, and teachers.

Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and strong written and verbal communication skills. They must have excellent organizational skills and be flexible.
