JOB SUMMARY: The Phyllis Wheatley Community Center (PWCC) Quality Parenting Academy is a partnership between PWCC and Hennepin County to provide resources and education for families who are at risk of mandated or voluntary separation. The end goal of the program is for parents and children to overcome barriers to successful family stabilization and reunification. The Parenting Academy offers group classes, peer support and one-on-one parenting skills development for families who self-identify as wanting to build parenting skills or who are referred to PWCC from the County or other service providers. Families engage with the Parenting Academy for 7 weeks while working on individualized goal plans to reunify their family.
We are looking for a responsible Program Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Program Assistant include providing support to our Quality Parenting Academy, assisting in daily office needs and general administrative activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative
- Assist in the with planning events
- Update and maintain office documents
- Order supplies
- Keep information for clients up to date
- Organize and Schedule appointments
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Assist in the preparation of regularly schedule reports
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
