Retail Director – Mass Channel, you will work in collaboration with the Product Innovation, Marketing and Retail Planning & Operations teams to drive Grove’s long-term retail strategy with consistency and excellence. Your work will help make sustainable living the natural choice for households across America. You’ll work with a network of like-minded agencies, partners and across the Grove organization to bring innovative, leading edge brands to life that will transform the CPG industry for better and allow Grove to show up with excellence at Retail.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
- Bring retailer-specific awareness for how to best navigate challenging situations and competing priorities. Build top to top/senior relationships with key retail partners building long term strategic partnership opportunities. Hit or exceed annual revenue targets.
- Bring an approach strong in quantitative and financial metrics, as well as one that shows a deep understanding of how retail works, and how to best position a brand to win long-term.
- Collaborate with Product & Marketing teams, where applicable, to develop events and promotions that drive trial & awareness. Sell with shopper and category insights; provide a strategic view into how the shopper defines categories and makes category/brand choices and what drives conversion in store.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize assortment and retail velocities. Partner with Inventory and Finance on product supply management to ensure Grove Collaborative can deliver on its promises to partners. Work closely cross-functionally to craft retail strategies (e.g., product assortment, pricing).
- Penetrate all levels of management at our customers. Build strong relationships.
- Manage customer P&L for Grove Owned Brands at Retail including shipment forecasting and revenue planning.
- Work with 3rd party partners (brokers/sales agencies) to ensure goals are met.
- Strategically and profitably develop and manage the trade promotion investment strategy and align those with other business resources to deliver the annual plan.
- Monitor and evaluate performance to define actionable learnings on how to improve promotional effectiveness within Grove and versus the competition
- Work with Owned Brands and other cross-functional teams in branding and positioning efforts to support the success of all Company products through assigned channels and customers.
