Routing Supervisor Job at Boardriders
THE CHALLENGE
In the role of Routing Supervisor based at our Mira Loma Distribution Center, your primary responsibility is the accuracy of customer shipments, organizing expedited shipments, coordinating with wave planning, partnering with the Shipping department, and ensuring all daily routing goals of the apparel and footwear distribution operation teams are met. The Router Supervisor is tasked with coordinating and leading a team of Routers to efficiently meet any and all delivery standards and service level agreements.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Utilize route planning and optimization software to route and optimize delivery routes within Federal DOT guidelines, while identifying and implementing best practices Offloading and stagging received shipments from incoming trailers
- Request routing for high volume, high profile, key customer accounts that do not have routing assigned to them at time of planning Utilize RF scanners, Labor Management Systems, and other tools to achieve targeted metrics
- Monitors reports to ensure all assigned accounts’ orders have been planned and shipped by expected start ship dates
- Provide Shipping Department with daily load information on all loads shipping from the apparel and footwear facilities
- Communicate with Customers, Traffic department, Carriers, Shipping, Compliance, Wave Planning and Customer Service to ensure and verify customer account routing procedures
- Supervise the Routing team and ensure efficiency across entire office processes
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Four-year college or university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge and experience of distribution, logistics, transportation, and routing procedures
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) necessary
- Efficient time management skills, prioritization of workloads, and strong attention to detail
- Effectively communicate, verbally and written, across all levels of the organization
- Being bi-lingual (Spanish and English) speaking a (major) plus
