What You’ll Do:

• Set-up and operate production saws and Manual Drill Presses to optimize the material cutting process
• Conduct measurements and mathematical calculations using a fractional tape measure to ensure cut quality and accuracy
• Cut and prepare test samples per process specifications
• Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, work area, floor areas, benches and storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain equipment in a safe and productive condition, including but not limited to, regular routine lubrication, cleaning and maintaining coolant levels

What You Bring to DIRTT:

• High school diploma preferred and/or two years’ experience working in a similar position
• Previous experience collecting, loading and cutting materials according to work orders
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
• Previous saw operating experience is considered an asset
• Previous experience working with steel would be an asset
• Highly detail-oriented with great organizational and time-management skills. Conducting frequent quality checks is a must
• A strong track-record for being accountable and timely while understanding the importance of maintaining a safe work environment
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects or materials
• Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, coordination and priority setting skills
• Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
