Opportunity

The Sr. Director – Global Logistics and Distribution is responsible for leading, standardizing & driving logistics initiatives & projects (transportation, warehouse, and distribution) globally for a highly matrixed and complex network supporting all business segments. This includes initiating improvements in logistics operations and facilitating a strategic outlook to improve our logistics capabilities to serve customers. The role leads and implements projects of higher complexity related to transportation, distribution, and logistics digital systems, as well as improves tools, process, productivity, and compliance activities. The role will be responsible for taking the logistics function on a journey of automation and transformation with a strong focus on digitization and investment throughout the organization to enable these programs. The role is responsible for both the global network of manufacturing and distribution centers and all global freight spend. This leader will provide strategic leadership and direction for a 300-member global logistics organization and for logistics freight spend in excess of $600 million. As global logistics leader of a complex supply chain, the role will be instrumental in driving change through a coordinated and forward-thinking strategy, working in collaboration with its key stakeholders up and down the supply chain. The role consults and drives VCP cost out projects and guides business segments, regions, and integrated supply chain to better serve all stakeholders.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
• MBA or MS in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management
• Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization.
• Continually developing category expertise, maintaining market intelligence, and staying abreast of the changing supply base and new product offerings, logistics firms, and technologies.
• Strong business system skills including experience in the implementation and operation of ERP, and WMS systems and experience in the implementation and operation of web-enabled Transportation Management systems.
• Demonstrated project management skills that have driven significant positive results.
• Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast-paced changing environment.
